New Year, Know Me

Welcome to 2023, loves!

With the welcoming of the new year, comes the old phrase “New Year, New Me.” Personally, I am not a fan of the phrase. New Year, yes. New Me, not so much. While I appreciate the hope that the new year brings, I don’t believe that the idea of changing yourself with every new year is a good one.

Rather than practicing the “New Year, New Me,” concept, I am changing, my phrase for 2023 to “New Year, Know Me.”

Instead of feeling like we have to change who we are, why not discover who we are? What if you were willing to spend the next 12 months learning about yourself? What if you did a deep dive and taught yourself why you are inherently worthy of love, joy, and peace? What if instead of focusing on all of the ways that you want to change yourself, you spent the time discovering what you love, what makes you uncomfortable, and what you are afraid of? What if you spent the next 12 months writing love letters to yourself, taking yourself on dates, and dealing with your shit?

There is so much within you. So, this year, I challenge you to dissect the thoughts that you have about yourself. I challenge you to acknowledge the judgments that you have of others. and I challenge you to take a look at all of the agreements that you have made to determine if they no longer serve you.

This year, your biggest challenge is to learn to fall in love with yourself.
